OH YEAH! I am pleased to say that Rising Star Games have now said that they will be releasing Deadly Premonition on the Xbox 360 in Europe. “Torisu” who works for the publisher, as well as being an administrator on their forums, has stated that “Yes it’s true. We are publishing the game on 360!”. This has followed a number of rumours surrounding the publishers involvement with the game, mainly fuelled by retailers listing the game with a proposed release date of September 17th. At this stage, the release date for the game is still to be confirmed, but it looks like it is set to be within Autumn this year, according to Rising Star’s mini site for the game. The game has been priced with an RRP of £24.99(currently the lowest price is £17.99 at Amazon), and while this is still more than the US version on release, which was $19.99 (around £13), it is still lower than most game releases in Europe.
Deadly Premonition is an open world Psychological horror game with survival horror elements. It was released in the US by UTV Ignition (formerly Ignition Entertainment) in February this year and received mixed reviews, varying from a score of 2 from IGN and a 10 from Destructoid. However, the game has a large cult fan base, and the characters and story have been well received, and received a lot of comparisons to the iconic TV show “Twin Peaks”. I am interested to see how well the game does when it is released, I hope it gets the love it deserves.
I certainly already have my preorder in, do you plan on picking up this game up? Has the bargain price convinced you to give it a try?

EDIT: Torisu has confirmed on the Rising Star Forums that while the game will be released with English only audio track, there will be subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish for its release throughout Europe.
